Scoot Around Bike
We got this bike when my youngest was 12 months old and it was an instant hit, including a hit with my 3 and 4-year-olds. Definitely a toy that can be continued to be enjoyed as the child gets older.
Vehicles
I love the Green Toys brand, because the toys are made from 100% recycled plastic. The dump truck is a favorite and it includes a working dumper!
Bath Toy
Another favorite from Green Toys is this submarine. The perfect bath toy. Made from recycled milk jugs and the toy is dishwasher safe.
Peekaboo Lock Boxes
This toy is great for practicing color matching, shape matching, and fine motor skills. I love that you can present all of the lock boxes at once or you can present just 1-2 at a time.
Tambourine
Musical instruments are a great toy for all ages. I love the simplicity of this tambourine.
Musical Hammer Toy
Another fun musical toy. I love that this one is also a ball hammer toy. In addition, the xylophone can be removed and used on its own.
Animal Figurines
Animal figurines are another toy that will continue to be loved as the child gets older. When my oldest son was 1yo, animal figurines were his favorite toy. They are great for developing vocabulary and as a toy for pretend play. I love the realistic details in Schleich animal figurines. You can buy individual animals and some are available as a set that includes a few different species.
Wooden Pouring Cups
Between 18-20 months, you will probably notice that your child develops an interest in pouring activities. These wooden pouring cups by Natural Playbox are the perfect design for small hands to hold and pour. Natural Playbox is a mama-owned shop and I recommend all of the items she offers in her shop.

Ball Tracker
Ball trackers are a great toy for learning about cause-and-effect, developing eye tracking and hand-eye coordination.
Pull Toy
Once my kids started walking, they loved being able to pull a toy around.
Peg Puzzles
Puzzles with small pegs are great for practicing pincer grip. This wooden set includes the matching image on the puzzle board. You can also work on vocabulary development while using this puzzle, as you name or describe the animals to your child.

Great open-ended toy that encourages STEM thinking. Large blocks are easier for younger kids to grasp and build with.

Poke-a-Dot Books
Kids love the “popping” element on each page. The pages in this book are sturdy and I love that the pictures are real images.
First Crayons
It can be difficult to find large crayons suitable for young toddlers. Love that these are easy for toddlers to hold.
Climbing Triangle
We got our climbing triangle when my oldest son turned one. My other children have both enjoyed it before the age of one. It’s one of the best types of climbing equipment for little ones. I like this climbing triangle because it has a high weight limit and can hold multiple children. It is also foldable for easier storage when not in use.
